Founder
Hello, I am Anna and I have a soft spot for dogs, especially sighthounds!
Being a dog owner myself I know how important it is to find the right place for your dog to stay. This gives you peace of mind while you are away and reassurance your dog will be relaxed and stress free.
How Pooch Patrol began
Several years ago I decided to set up Pooch Patrol, as for the last 20 years I have been flying as cabin crew for an airline out of Gatwick. It was an amazing experience but it was time to hang up my wings for good. I decided to use my customer service experience and my love of dogs to set up Pooch Patrol. I’ve returned to college and have been studying canine behaviour level 2 and 3. Following on from that I have now passed my level 4 IMDTB (The Institute of Modern Dog Training and Behaviour) with distinction. I am working towards my level 5 to become a behavioural specialist. I am also a fully qualified and accredited dog trainer with the IMDT.
Our passion ...
Pooch Patrol welcomes a variety of breeds we have had the privilege of looking after all sizes from Chihuahuas to Great Danes.
We are the proud owners of a very majestic Borzoi who goes by the name of Ella. Although Ella is much larger and hairier than the usual dog she has similar characteristics to a greyhound. At the moment she spends most of her days either running in circles in a field or lying horizontally on the sofa.
Here at Pooch Patrol we understand that adjusting to a new home can sometimes be difficult. So we always offer a trial night so your dog gets to know us and is familiar with their surroundings before their big holiday.
We are fully equipped with plenty of sofas to relax on and claim as their own, and also have a large enclosed rear garden for those all important ‘zoomies’.
If your dog needs to stay exclusively so no other dogs will be here this can be requested in your advanced booking.
Our aim
We aim to provide a home from home environment for your dog, giving them plenty of fuss and walks. I am DBS checked, licensed and fully insured.
We live in the village of Copthorne which is only ten minutes from Gatwick Airport, Junction 10 on the M23, making us ideal for holiday drop-offs. There is some beautiful countryside close by, with plenty of walking routes. We also have a large enclosed rear garden for your dog to enjoy and inside there are plenty of sofas to lay on and room to play.
