Pooch Patrol – Rates for London

New for 2026, Pooch Patrol services are now available in the Royal London Boroughs

Private Dog Walking

Pooch Patrol specialises in fun, sociable off-lead group walks. Walks are 1 hour long with no more than 2 dogs per walk.

Our walks are designed so that your pooch can be thoroughly exercised safely whilst developing (or retaining) excellent social skills and ‘dog manners’. I am trained in various aspects of behaviour and canine body language to ensure that the behaviour of each dog is to our exceptionally high standard.

On lead walks are important too as they support calm behaviour and an important role in training. In a busy city we work towards reliable lead manners and thoughtful navigation of crowded environments. These walks are structured, enriching and purposeful, not just focusing on distance.

As I am fully IMDT trained, I also offer Training Led Dog Walking which consists of training combined with behaviour support.

Puppy Home Visits

This service is a pre-vacincation visit and an opportunity for early training support. A puppy home visit is a professional consultation, held in your own home to help new owners establish routines, set boundaries, and address early training needs like potty training, biting, and socialisation, ensuring a smooth transition for the puppy and preventing future behavioural issues by creating a positive, structured environment from day one.

Key aspects covered in a visit:

  • Environment setup: Puppy-proofing your home, setting up safe spaces (bed, crate), and defining feeding/play areas.
  • Routine and boundaries: Establishing consistent schedules for feeding, potty breaks, sleep, and introducing household rules.
  • Basic training: Guidance on house training (toilet training), leash walking, bite inhibition, and preventing jumping.
  • Socialisation: Strategies for safe introductions to new people, pets, sounds, and surfaces, even before full vaccinations.
  • Behavioral guidance: Addressing common puppy behaviours like chewing, barking, and separation anxiety.
  • Q&A: An opportunity to ask me specific questions about your puppy’s needs.

Dog Training

The process of teaching a dog specific skills, commands (like sit, stay, come), and good manners to help them live harmoniously in a human world, strengthening the bond with their owner through methods such as positive reinforcement, which uses rewards for desired behaviours. It covers basic obedience for everyday life preventing boredom and fostering a well-behaved companion.

Core Aspects of Dog Training:

  • Basic obedience: Teaching fundamental commands like sit, stay, down, and recall to ensure safety and control.
  • Socialisation: Helping dogs react appropriately to people, other dogs, and new environments.
  • Behaviour modification: Addressing unwanted behaviors such as jumping, barking, or leash pulling.

Common Training Methods:

  • Positive reinforcement: Using rewards (treats, praise, toys) to encourage desired actions, making the dog more likely to repeat them.
  • Social learning: Dogs learn by observing and imitating owners or other dogs (e.g., the “Do-as-I-do” method).
  • Relationship-based training: Focusing on communication, leadership, and building trust rather than just demanding obedience, recognising dogs as intelligent beings.

Why train your dog?

  • Bonding: Creates a stronger relationship and communication between you and your dog.
  • Safety and freedom: Gives your dog the skills to be safely off-leash or in public.
  • Mental stimulation: Prevents boredom and keeps intelligent dogs engaged.
  • Better companionship: Helps dogs become well-behaved family members.

Attendance for the session only. No stays.
